In this role, your primary duty will be ensure to operate the chemical process systems and related equipment. This role requires a safety mind-set, self-motivated person with a positive attitude, a ton of energy, effective time management, organization, and record-keeping skills. A successful candidate will be someone who can:
- Model Cabot's values of integrity, respect, excellence, and responsibility. Interacts professionally with site personnel, visitors, contractors, and individuals al all levels of the Cabot organization. Follows work instructions, procedures, and policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the process to maintain required operating conditions.
- Maintain and continuously improve upon knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Performs general and predictive/preventive maintenance on process and support equipment. Uses computerized business management system to enter work orders and document work performed. Document equipment condition to establish trends in operations or breakdowns.
- Conducts quality control testing following Cabot test methods. Utilizes SPC techniques to monitor process consistency and product quality.
- Works in a safe manner. Actively participates in Cabot’s safety, health, and environmental programs. Attends scheduled team meetings and completes safety training requirements. Keeps work area safe and clean.
- Actively supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® and ISO Management Systems in line with the requirements of the RC14001® and ISO9001 technical specifications.
- Completes all required reports, records, and measurements, i.e. SH&E incident reporting, production records, lab testing results, etc.
- Works a rotating shift schedule and overtime when required, responds to call-outs. Able to work different shift schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
