Your Role at Cabot

Cabot Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator/Administrator to support the Haverhill Inkjet Manufacturing plant. The position is responsible for generation, tracking, and closure of production work orders in combination with Quality product release. These activities are central to moving product throughout our processes and tracking inventory levels.

 

The role interfaces with multiple departments and processes.  The position requires excellent computer skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.  

 

How You Will Make an Impact

Quality Responsibilities

Quality Product Release (~60%)

  • Raw Material Receipt
    • SQC entry - Verification COA
    • Supplemental Billerica testing – Accountable entry, data retrieval. Entry SQC
    • NCM generation
    • JDE Status update and maintenance of comments
    • COA electronic storage
    • Coordinates with WPS on labels
  • Product release (Centralization)
    • Merges Worker orders to MCP Inspection sheets.
      • Maintain info on Lot Status log
    • Inspection & Test
      • Billerica testing - Coordinates with QC lab, Accountable entry & sample shipment
      • Validating MCP data set with WINLIMS entry.
      • Validating full WINLIM compliance for JDE Release
    • NCM Processing
      • Update JDE “P” for pending disposition & Update lots status log
      • Executing and recording NCM disposition (including sticker generation)
    • JDE status and JDE Notes maintenance
    • Pre-ship program Canon, CPP, etc.
      • Verifies pre-ship @ product release
      • Coordinates shipping with WPS
      • Pre-ship log maintenance with Japan
    • Filing Work orders and support batch documentation
    • Generates COA for all orders
  • Misc Projects
    • JDE Status report - Review and highlight NCM slow mover and hang ups
    • Data lookup – support complaint investigation (manual records & JDE)
  • Supplies
    • Calibration standards & Consumables maintain Kanban and stock rotation
      • Gage Pack – Updating new supplies into system, maintain certifications, and manage shelf life
    • General supplies – Orders and maintains minimum stocking levels
  • NCM Process
    • Critical role linking NCM processing/disposition, Product Release & product stickering

 

Product Testing (~10%)

  • Conduct a wide variety of tests, including non-routine or special testing and provides training to less-experienced technicians.
  • ICP testing sample preparation and conducting tests
  • Back-up for QC Tech due to manpower shortage (as needed)
  • Conduct calibration activities
  • Maintain lab supply inventories including monitoring levels and ordering replacements

 

WPS Responsibilities

Production Scheduling Responsibilities (~30%)

  • Work Order
    • Work order tracking (maintaining WO spreadsheet)
    • Creation and closure
    • Review for missing information and routing to production for correction
  • Commodity Raw Materials
    • Kanban inventory (2 x week)
    • Ordering replacement
    • Issue requisitions for local distributors POs
  • Cycle count
    • Creation, entering, and closure
    • Generate variance reports
    • Collaborate with team to investigate inventory issues
    • Filing of count sheets and reports
    • Post count inventory adjustments

Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of company/function/business policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in the use of office equipment and related software packages, including spreadsheets, databases,

and presentations. Excellent computer skills and ability to research data on Internet.

  • Speaking ability in English and/or other language(s) may be required depending on location.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface with internal managers and

employees at all levels as well as outside parties.

  • Excellent organization skills. Ability to keep track of multiple details and establish priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.

 

Education/Experience

  • Secondary education required; post-secondary training (certificate program) preferred.
