The Project Controls Manager coordinates the overall project controls function within Project Support Services group for the Global Engineering Organization supporting the ongoing capital project portfolio. Responsibilities include hands-on project specific assignments as well as oversight of contractor resources to manage the cost estimating, cost controlling, planning, and scheduling requirements globally.

Partners with the Business Segments and Business Project Managers in the development and management of the capital portfolio for the assigned region for projects that are fit for purpose (weighing business requirements, practicality and cost to deliver). For large projects (>$5 Mio), leads the development of project charters, alignment of business objectives and key project drivers, and provides insight on cost, schedule, execution strategies, projects risks, project staffing, and project synergies. For projects <$5 Mio provides oversight for the execution of Cabot’s capital programs within the Region. Working in conjunction with the Global Engineering (GE) Leadership Team, prioritizes and deploys capital and global engineering resources to projects in region.
Ensures robust project development and successful implementation through adherence and support of the Global Engineering mission, policies, procedures, practices, and tools. Contributes to both functional and business excellence as well as continuous improvement through membership on the Global Engineering Leadership Team
Establishes and implements the global marketing communications strategy for the Performance Chemicals Business segment. Provides global leadership of the budgeting, design and execution of all internal and external marketing communications initiatives within the business, including increased use of digital techniques.
