Cabot Corporation is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the HR Shared Services & Operations team at either the Billerica, MA or Alpharetta, GA Cabot locations.
The primary focus of this role is to perform accounting activities to support the benefits and payroll function and ensure tax compliance for a multistate organization in Canada and the US. You will act as a back-up to calculate and record payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and withholdings. Lead accounting, reconciliation, analysis budgeting/forecasting of U.S. benefit programs.
There will be work assisting with a payroll transformation project and developing best practices. You will monitor and update tax codes and rates in the payroll system, respond to payroll inquiries and requests, provide payroll reports and analysis, and stay updated on payroll laws and regulations. You will also develop ad hoc payroll reports, work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure good payroll service quality.
This role sits within a wider team and at times may be required to deputize for the Payroll Manager when needed.
This role is based in either Billerica, MA or Alpharetta, GA, but is eligible to participate in Cabot’s current Flexible Working Arrangement (hybrid) program.

You will be responsible for generating different ink and coating formulations as directed and measure physical properties of those formulations to understand effects of different design variables.You will interface with the high-throughput software, hardware as well as traditional laboratory equipment.
