As a member of Cabot’s law department, the Legal Assistant will support the SVP General Counsel and law department attorneys and paralegals. The role requires a professional individual with strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills who can handle balancing multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
The Director of Project Execution Support is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction of the capital Project Management Office (PMO) as it aligns to the overall mission of the Global Engineering organization specifically with respect to:
- Capital Project Controls including Estimating, Cost Control, Change Management, Scheduling, and Earned Value Management.
- Risk Management
- Value Improving Practices, particularly Value Engineering / Capital Efficiency
- Project Readiness Assessments for gate approvals.
- Project Management methodology including training, tools, and development of project and site teams.
- Global Engineering document management including Share Point and Best Practices Library.
- Global Engineering benchmarks, metrics, and project audits.
Ensures robust project execution support through development, enhancement, adherence, and support of the Global Engineering mission, policies, procedures, practices, tools, and scorecard.
Contributes to both functional and business excellence as well as continuous improvement through membership on the Global Engineering Leadership Team.
Supports the development of the portfolio strategy for the businesses within the segment. Provides input to changes in the strategic direction of the businesses as appropriate to increase profitability. Helps translate strategic direction into management processes, frameworks and tools to align with and drive execution, resulting in improved business performance. Leads/facilitates execution of key strategic growth initiatives (both organic and inorganic) from identification to deal/project execution, working in concert with internal business and Corporate Strategy resources.
